2025 Pastor Encouragement Retreat

Dear Congregational Leaders,

Greetings in the name of our Lord!  I thank the Lord for your leadership within God’s Kingdom.  It is an honor and privilege to serve alongside you as a member of the Body of Christ in the Church of God in Tennessee.

Please continue to keep those impacted by the recent storms in your prayers.  The Church of God is responding to their communities and being the presence of Christ by providing hope, supplies, support, and prayers.

Traditionally, many churches honor their pastor during October. As a pastor, I know that I have been encouraged by wonderful notes expressing thanks and appreciation.  As you prepare to express appreciation, I would encourage you to consider providing a scholarship for your pastor and spouse to attend the TN Ministries Pastor Encouragement Retreat in Gatlinburg. This retreat will take place at the beautiful Park Vista Hotel, Gatlinburg, TN, on February 21-23, 2025. The Park Vista is a beautiful facility, offering spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg. This opportunity is open to Senior Pastors, Associate Pastors, Worship Pastors, Youth Pastors, Retired Pastors, Missionaries, etc., and their spouses; whomever you choose to honor. The Pastor Encouragement Retreat is a weekend designed to encourage, refresh, and fellowship with their fellow pastors and spouses in a retreat-like environment. The retreat cost ($300), which includes two nights lodging and a banquet, is partially underwritten by Tennessee Ministries. Our guest speaker is Rev Dr Eric Livingston and his wife Lisa. If the church is not able to provide the scholarship this year, I would encourage you to provide the enclosed registration form to your pastor, so that they may attend with the church’s blessing.

Please note:  This is NOT a marriage retreat, so single pastors are welcome to attend.  Eric and Lisa will be challenging and encouraging your pastor and spouse to remain strong in ministry.  In addition, this event includes a Sunday morning, so arrangements will need to be made for your pastor’s absence.
